I need to be added as a member to our institution. Who do I contact?

You should contact your institution's "Key Contact," and they will be able to add you. If you are unsure who your institution's Key Contact is, you may look them up by search for your institution here. You may also email the TACRAO Secretary.

What/Who is a "Key Contact"?

Key Contacts are specific individuals who are viewed as the organization’s manager. An organization may have one or many individuals listed as a Key Contact. The Key Contact(s) can:

  • Pay dues on behalf of the organization
  • Edit and update the organization’s profile they're linked to
  • Edit and update other profiles linked to their organization
  • Register other linked users from their organization for events

What is a "Linked Profile"?

Linked profiles are the individuals who work for the organization or company. Think of them as an extension of the organization or company. Each linked individual will have their own profile, which can be further updated to reflect that individual.

I'm a key contact and need to update the Linked Profiles (add/update members) for our institution. How do I do that?

  1. Log in to tacrao.org.
  2. Click Member Log In in the upper right
  3. After you have logged in, you will see a name badge for yourself. Below the name badge you will see these links: Member Search, Member Directory, My Profile, and Event Calendar. Click on My Profile.
  4. Hover over the "My Profile" tab and then click "Your Organization." (On this page, you may make updates to the information about your institution.)
  5. Click "Individual Profiles." On this page, you can designate individuals who have Linked Profiles as a Key Contact and unlink profiles for individuals no longer at your institution.
  6. To add a new individual to the Linked Profiles at your institution, click "Create Linked Profile." Once created, you will need to contact that individual to let them know: 1) you have created their account 2) what username you used to create the account (using their work email address as the username is suggested) and 3) what email address you used to create the profile. The newly added member can then reset their password and update information in their profile.

I have been added as a new member. How do I log in?

  1. Click the "Member Login" in the upper right of tacrao.org. 
  2. If you need:
    1. Your username: click on the Retrieve Username link. Enter in the email address your institution used to add you, and you will be provided with further instructions. If you are unsure what email address was used, your Key Contact should be able to supply that information to you.
    2. Reset your password: click on the Rest Password link. A link will be sent to you to reset your password
  3. After retrieving/resetting your credentials, attempt to log in again by going through the "Member Login" button in the upper right of the site.

How do I update the information in my profile?

After you have logged in, you can click the "UPDATE PROFILE" link on the left side of the Member Home Page.
