President's Award (2025)South Texas College This past year, the Summer Meeting committee faced a unique challenge. As we came off of a virtual year for the Summer Meeting, the committee was tasked with planning a meeting in a brand-new location for the first time in decades. While the entire committee did an amazing job, Hector personally stepped in to take charge in ways that ensured the event’s success. From working with the hotel on constant changes, navigating a myriad of presenter conflicts, and laying out plans for a space that was still under construction, Hector’s personal efforts were visible throughout the duration of the event in College Station. The President’s award was presented to him in recognition of his decision to go above and beyond when no one would have questioned doing “just enough”.
