Jason HalePresident's Award (2021) Jason Hale, Executive Director of Undergraduate Admissions at Texas Tech University, was presented with the 2021 President’s Award at the 100th TACRAO Conference in Lubbock. When we started 2021, TACRAO was unsure if we would be able to host an in-person conference following two years of COVID. TEC began to make tentative plans and by the beginning of summer, it looked like hosting an in-person conference would become a reality. However, by mid-summer, a new variant had emerged, and planning was back in-flux again. Throughout planning, we knew sponsorships from our corporate partners would be critical to the success of this year’s conference, regardless, if it was in-person or virtual. The entire time that conference planning was influx, we needed to be able to count on someone to garner support from our corporate partners. Without question it took extra effort, courage, and commitment to capture resources to facilitate an event that might or might not happen. Jason Hale led the Corporate Relations Committee to obtain over $85,000 in monetary support to host the 100th TACRAO Conference. I am proud to present the 2021 President’s Award to Jason Hale for his leadership and steadfastness to assure that the 2021 TACRAO conference was a financial success.
