Laura DivineCertificate of Commendation Upon Retirement (2020) Laura retired from College of the Mainland (COM) after working there over 35 years. Her career at COM began as a student worker in the Admissions and Records Office. After graduating with her Associates degree, she was hired as a full time Admissions and Records Specialist. She was later promoted to the Assistant Registrar and retired as the Technical Manager for Student Services. Laura was dedicated to the students, faculty, and staff. She served on numerous committees and was always in the middle of organizing a good party or prank in the office. She was known across campus for her baking skills. Laura Divine is a friend to many and was truly an asset to COM. Laura was a dedicated and hard working TACRAO member. She served on committees, presented numerous sessions, and often served as a facilitator. Laura served as the LAC Treasurer for the 2019 annual conference in Galveston. Because of her attention to detail and ethical leadership in the position, the conference audit had no financial findings and even commended Laura on a job well done. We wish her well in retirement.
