Rex JacksonHonorary Membership (1984) The Austin American Statesman carried an obituary for Rex Jackson on January 6, 2012. Rex had been Assistant Director of Admissions at the University of Texas at Austin 1947-57, then worked at the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board 1957-1963, and then returned to the University of Texas at Austin 1963-1980 as Associate Director of Admissions. He is survived by his wife of 67 years. Rex was TACRAO President when TACRAO met in Austin in 1972. I had the pleasure of working with him his last several years at UT before he retired to Marble Falls. He was a class act.
